Kapriskie (“Kikie”) Seide

Research Assistant & Website Manager, SALTO Diary Study

Kikie Seide, MPH is a doctoral candidate in sociology with a concentration in the areas of medical sociology, and race, ethnicity, and immigration. Broadly, her research focuses on health disparities among vulnerable populations with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds in the U.S. and abroad. Her dissertation titled “Bringing in the Black Body” lies at the intersection of disability and race to explore the embodied experiences of Haitian earthquake survivors who acquired physical disabilities as a result of the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti. Kikie is a research assistant and the current web application & development manager for the SALTO Diary Study.
